Filtration Media
Filter
media refers to most any filtration product that can be
placed in a pressure vessel to accomplish some degree
of particulate or adsorptive process to enhance the properties
of a feed stream. Multi-media filters are generally graded
layers of gravel,
garnet, sand
and anthracite coal
which serve as depth filtration layers that are backwashed
to restore flow and removal properties. These media are
of the inert particulate removal type.
Reactive
media, such as calcite
actually are sacrificial that get used up through a chemical
reaction to raise the pH of the stream.
Adsorptive
media are selective media that function by adsorption
of organics. Examples are granular
activated carbon and activated
alumina.
We
can provide the following media to suit your application.
