Uranium
Removal
Uranium
is also a naturally occurring radio-active contaminant
found in ground water sources, particularly granite based
mountainous regions. Uranium can be easily removed with
high capacity salt regenerated strong
based anion systems. The resins have a very high selectivity
for the uranium complex.
Many
municipal agencies use strong base anion resins and regenerate
as little as once a month. The regenerant brine may be
considered hazardous if regeneration is less frequent
and one should check the allowances on discharge is contemplating
the use of Strong
base anion resin for this need. Resins left in place
without regeneration may, themselves, become hazardous
due to their extreme capacity to hang onto the uranium
ion complex. Check with us.
Systematix
can also supply 10 and 20 inch Aqualine™
Cartridges for under-counter systems or R/O polishing
needs.
